On December 20, Cooxupé experienced a special moment with the delivery of the second installment of the Payment for Environmental Services Program (PSA), promoted by the Water Producer Coffee Program.

The event brought together producers, leaders and partners, highlighting the importance of sustainable practices in the coffee sector and the commitment to the environment. Reflections from authorities and representatives, such as Carlos Augusto Rodrigues de Melo, president of Cooxupé, and Gustavo Bastos Soares, from Banco Sicoob, emphasized how cooperativism is essential in driving environmental preservation actions.

The awarding of the certificates and checks symbolized the recognition of the coffee producers' work on their properties, reinforcing that taking care of nature is essential to guarantee the future of production and the quality of rural life.

The Water Producer Coffee Program, conceived by the National Coffee Council (CNC), together with its member cooperatives, is carried out in partnership with various institutions such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), municipal governments, the Organization of Brazilian Cooperatives (OCB/Sescoop), Sicoob Bank, the National Water and Basic Sanitation Agency (ANA), the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the Minas Gerais State Technical Assistance and Rural Extension Company (EMATER-MG).
