About ESG
Cooxupé, in essence, is an organization that has been concerned with ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) aspects since the beginning of its foundation, considering the principles of cooperativism, which are aligned with sustainability. In 2022, it structured its ESG agenda, strengthening existing initiatives, creating new projects and establishing policies for environmental and social governance. A specific area was created to drive the ESG agenda, previously concentrated in Quality and Environment. In addition, a specialized consultancy was hired to align the ESG guidelines with market requirements. Based on a diagnosis using global frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Sustainability Accounting Standard Board (SASB), the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE) of the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3), System B and the SDGs, the cooperative's maturity in environmental, social and corporate governance was assessed. In the dual materiality process, 24 themes were analyzed, with great participation from our partners, resulting in the prioritization of 10 themes of greatest relevance to Cooxupé.
