The Cooxupé Regenerative Coffee Farming Project involves the creation of ecological corridors within coffee plantations, establishing approximately one row of trees for every 11 rows of coffee plants. This layout is designed to accommodate mechanized farming operations and prevent excessive shading of the crops.
The minimum area required to participate in the project is 1 hectare, using pre-selected species such as ingá, erva-baleeira, fedegoso, fedegosinho, and erythrina. These species are used to create ecological corridors, whose primary purpose is to increase biodiversity by attracting natural predators, as well as to contribute to carbon sequestration.
